How a hotel chain outta Portland, Oregon keeps getting really nice Converse collaborations is confusing to me. But then again, it’s Oregon, home of Nike, which owns Converse, and has long been proven, the Swoosh can do whatever the hell it wants. At least the collaborations are upper-level stuff, so I can’t be that mad.
The white Pro Leather is wrapped in a perforated leather shell that’s wrapped ’round with th0e Ace Hotel‘s logo. It sits on an off-white midsole with matching laces, leading to a grey nubuck toe box and eyestay.
The Pro-Leather is very reminiscent of the Nike Blazer, but has a thinner sole and give me that retro tingling in my fingers. On the tongue, is an embossed Covnverse x Ace Hotel emblem type stamp on that same grey nubuck.
As much as I dislike the all white shoe, these are pretty crazy. I will be purchasing it.
Available now, you can pick up a pair of the Ace Hotel x Converse First String Pro Leather over at Hanon for about $124 USD.
